The company
BS&F supports more than 300 municipalities in the Netherlands with various products and services. Their mission is to help them improve the health of vulnerable residents—physically, mentally, and financially—and to make implementation processes simpler and more accessible.
The result
BS&F uses Rulecube to connect their system with source data from the Ockto tool, create the business rules that determine eligibility, and present the outcome. It makes them work a lot faster and more efficient. Changes to the acceptance criteria and thus to the business rules can now be made swiftly and promptly.
Solution
BS&F supports 297 municipalities with the product ‘Gemeentepolis’. This is a health insurance policy developed to provide residents in vulnerable positions with access to good and affordable healthcare. There are now approximately 422,000 Gemeentepolis policyholders.
To be eligible for health insurance through Gemeentepolis, residents must meet certain criteria, regarding among others things like income and assets. The application module used to assess whether this is the case was built using Rulecube.
Process
BS&F was a pioneer in working with Rulecube and the first client to go live with a Rulecube powered application. We developed their product Gemeentepolis in a partnership with Yellowtail Conclusion. Yellowtail worked closely with BS&F to define the business rules that needed to be applied.
Using Ockto, a potential Gemeentepolis client logs in and retrieves a set of verified data. Rulecube retrieves that data and identifies the entities needed to assess eligibility. It applies the business rules that define eligibility. The outcome is presented in the form of a traffic light indicator and an explanatory text.
